NC MLA calls for uncovering ‘mystery’ behind spike in terror acts | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 12: The National Conference MLA from Srinagar district’s Habakadal Assembly segment Shamima Ferdous expressed his anguish over the spike in terror incidents in the city and adjacent areas and demanded a probe to reveal the mystery over the increase in the number of such incidents.
While strongly condemning the death of Sunday market’s grenade attack victim Beghum Abdida, who succumbed to her injuries, she called for a thorough investigation into the recent surge in terror incidents in Srinagar city and its surrounding areas.
As per a video shared by local media, the MLA expressed concern over the sudden increase in terror incidents after the successful conduct of Assembly elections and the formation of a popular government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shamima Ferdous requested the government to identify those responsible for the heinous crime and ensure adequate compensation to the victim's family. The National Conference party sought to uncover the reasons behind the increased terror incidents in the region.

Srinagar, Nov 12: Light intermittent snowfall continued in some of the higher reaches of Kashmir, resulting in the closure of vital routes in the upper areas of the valley, officials said on Tuesday.
The season's first snowfall in Kashmir, which began on Monday, continued at many places during the night, the officials said.
They said reports of snowfall were received from upper areas of Gulmarg and Sonamarg tourist resorts.
Parts of Kupwara and Bandipora districts also withnessed snowfall.
