Jammu, Nov 7: Notwithstanding the ruckus created by the opposition members in the Legislative Assembly over passing the resolution seeking the “special status” for Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples’ Conference leader and MLA Handwara Sajad Lone alleged that Wednesday’s episode in the House was nothing but a fixed match between the National Conference and the BJP to protect each other political interests.
“If the National Conference is so serious about restoring the pre-August 5, 2019 position in J&K, the coalition should support our resolution which we have moved today”, Lone said while introducing a fresh resolution along with PDP and AIP.

SRINAGAR, Nov 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was adjourned for the day on Thursday following a brawl between the BJP MLAs and marshals, as the opposition members protested against a resolution for the restoration of the erstwhile state’s special status for the second consecutive day. Kishtwar, Nov 7: Two Village Defense Guards (VDG) were reportedly martyred by terrorists in Kishtwar district.
A Srinagar based news agency quoting officials said that two VDGs identified as Nazir Ahmad, son of Muhammad Khalil and Kuldeep Kumar, son of Amar Chand–both residents of Ohli, Kuntwara have been martyred by the terrorists in Kishtwar.
