NC's unconstitutional actions may delay restoration of statehood, warns BJP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 8: Amid the ongoing tussle between the National Conference and BJP on the issue of a resolution passed in the Legislative Assembly, Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma today cautioned such “undemocratic and unconstitutional” action of the ruling party would create hurdles in the restoration of statehood.
“Everybody in Jammu and Kashmir has been demanding statehood and the Union Government is seriously considering fulfilling this demand but I am afraid that recent action of the ruling party in the Legislative Assembly would delay restoration of the statehood”, Sunil Sharma said while interacting with media persons.
Sharma made these remarks while condemning, what he alleged, the biased action of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather.
