Srinagar, Feb 10: Even as the government has slapped the Public Safety Act (PSA) on two more former Chief Ministers, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, shattering prospects of their release in near future, the people of Kashmir look least bothered to show any sympathy towards the detained duo.
While both the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party and some other parties including the Congress have criticized the government for slapping the PSA, there has been no support from the public quarters.

“He who digs a pit for others himself falls in it. Nobody has any sympathy towards these Abdullahs and Muftis, who would rule the state like dictators and had misused this law to settle personal scores,” said Showkat Ahmed.
Infact, the people of Kashmir, who have access to social media websites like Facebook and Twitter have hailed the government for the decision of booki... | |
