Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 20: NC president Farooq Abdullah and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday sprung a big surprise. Nay, they made the people to laugh at the NC and the Congress leadership. The case in point is the so-called pre-poll alliance that both the parties stitched. It would be a misnomer to call it an alliance at all. It was a pre-poll alliance of its own kind. Why what Farooq Abdullah and Ghulam Nabi Azad could not be really termed as a pre-poll alliance? There are cogent reasons for that. The most important reason is that there will be "friendly" contests between the NC and the Congress in the Kashmir's two Lok Sabha constituencies - Anantnag and Baramulla. There will be a "friendly contest" between the two parties on the Anantnag and Baramulla seats, they said. They also said that the "alliance in J&K for the Lok Sabha polls is in national interest and it will help strengthen secular forces".
