Jammu, Mar 24: A minister in the PDP-BJP coalition government has been allegedly misusing the wealth of departments falling under his jurisdiction to expand his family business.
Sources informed Early Times that the minister from Jammu region has been constructing an educational intitution in district Kathua. "Earlier the minister had pressurized a construction company by denying them permission for a prestigious road construction project. JAMMU, Mar 24: Amid mounting allegations of corruption and favouritism against the coalition government, the family of a minister from the ruling PDP has bagged a project worth over Rs 100 crore.
Sources said the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has allotted the Waste-to-Energy for the Achan landfill site here to a consortium of three firms led by a firm which is owned by the family of a senior PDP leader.
The project, scheduled to be executed by a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, will be designed, developed and managed by the consortium.
