| CM Omar introduces bills, including J&K GST amendment | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sept 28: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who also holds the portfolio of Finance Minister, today introduced the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Goods & Services Tax Act, 2017 in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
The Bill, designated as L.A. Bill No. 12 of 2026, has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
BILL TO AMEND J&K MINISTERS’ AND MINISTERS OF STATE SALARIES ACT
Chief Minister also introduced the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Ministers’ and Ministers of State Salaries Act, 1956 in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
The Bill, designated as L.A. Bill No. 13 of 2026, has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
INTRODUCES BILL TO AMEND SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES LAW FOR J&K LEGISLATURE MEMBERS
The Chief Minister, who is also the Minister in charge of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, also introduced the Bill to amend the Salaries and Allowances of Members of the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Act, 1960, and for matters connected or incidental thereto in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
The Bill, designated as L.A. Bill No. 14 of 2026, has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
INTRODUCES BILL TO AMEND J&K STATE LEGISLATURE MEMBERS’ PENSION ACT
Chief Minister, who is also the Minister in charge of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, also introduced the Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Members’ Pension Act, 1984 and for matters connected or incidental thereto in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
The Bill, designated as L.A. Bill No. 15 of 2026, has already been published in an extraordinary issue of the Official Gazette.
INTRODUCES EODB BILL
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is also the Minister for Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, also introduced the Bill to amend certain enactments for decriminalizing and rationalizing offences for ease of living and ease of doing business (EoDB) and to repeal certain enactments and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. The bill was introduced in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly during the ongoing Autumn Session.
