Shah to pay obeisance to sacred relics of Lord Buddha

New Delhi, Apr 26: Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit, he is expected to participate in religious and official engagements, including paying obeisance to the sacred relics of Lord Buddha on the occasion of Buddha Purnima on May 1. Sharing details of the visit, Saxena said the Home Minister would also reflect on the spiritual significance of a rare public exposition of the relics being held in Ladakh from May 1 to May 14. The relics, excavated from Piprahwa in Uttar Pradesh—believed to be ancient Kapilvastu—will be displayed at Jive Tsal in Choglamsar. The Lieutenant Governor said the visit underscores the Centre’s continued commitment to the development of Ladakh.
