| Div Com reviews Shivratri arrangements | | | Srinagar, February12
Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Mr Basharat Ahmed today convened a meeting of officers to take stock of arrangements made for Maha Shivratri falling on February 15 and 16. The Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr Ajaz Iqbal, Joint Director Fisheries and General Secretary Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti also participated in the meeting.
The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir asked the Fisheries department to ensure sale of trout fish on concessional rates on the said dates at Gagribal Sale Centre apart from its availability through mobile van at Indiranagar, Shivpora, Jawahir Nagar, HabbaKadal, Wazirbagh, Kursoo Rajbagh and Humhama.
He asked the Director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department, Kashmir to ensure availability of Nadru in the market and ensure that no black marketing and profiteering could be caused to the consumers.
The Power Development department will also ensure power supply in the localities where Pandit community members are residing. |
