Under PHE sector 28, defung water supply schemes would be completed by March this year under earthquake restoration programme in Uri. Besides, under PMGSY 21 kilometers of road length is being completed at a cost of Rs 6.55 crore out of which 13 kilometers road length stands completed so for.
This was informed at a district officers meeting convened by Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Mr Taj Mohi-ud-din in Chandanwari Uri today. The meeting was informed that out of the 35 free fabricated medical sub centers coming up in Uri at a cost of Rs 84.38 lakh, 8 centers have been completed so for. It was further apprised that under Rural Development sector 223 development schemes are presently under execution in two blocks of Uri Sub Division at a cost of Rs. 112 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister emphasized upon the officers to work with dedication and zeal so that development works under execution are completed within a stipulated time.
Earlier, the minister inspected various ongoing development works including the proposed site of under construction Degree College at Uri. The construction of degree college is estimated to cost Rs. 4.27 crore. The Minster also inspected on the pace of work of the under construction general bus stand and shopping complex at Uri.
The Minister also met various delegations and assured them that their grievances would be redressed at the earliest.
