| Six year old crushed to death | | | Srinagar, Feb 12
A six year old student was today crushed to death by a passenger vehicle at village Gundipora in Mutton area of south Kashmir Anantnag district early this afternoon.
Police said that the overloaded minibus bearing registration number JKO3-4644 was headed towards Mutton from Anantnag town when the driver lost control over the vehicle and hit the boy, Zahid Khan, of Gundipora. The biy died on the spot, police sources said.
An FIR under section 304/A of Ranbir Penal Code was registered by police against the driver identified as Bashir Ahmad Raina, resident of village Patigam in Ashmuqam area of Anantnag district. Police has also seized the vehicle.
Reports said that Zahid had left home to purchase a chocolate from a roadside shop when the vehicle hit him, causing serious injuries. Zahid was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
