| Bhim lambastes PDP for raising frivolous issues to create confusion | | |

Lashing out at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for selling Musharaff’s out dated theories of self rule and remilitarization, Prof Bhim Singh Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party said here today that by raising such frivolous issues the party was creating confusion with the sole objective to destabilize the government.
Addressing a mammoth Congress rally along with Abdul Gani Vakil senior Vice President Congress and MLC, Prof Singh said that some sponsored elements have started playing old games to destabilize the Chief Minister and ‘made it clear that his party would not allow it at any cost’.
Congratulating the people, particularly the youth of Kashmir, for standing with the secular and democratic culture of India, Bhim said that India unlike Pakistan is a secular-democratic unparalleled in the world where the President is a Muslim, Prime Minister a Sikh and Congress Chief a lady, who all enjoy full acceptability by over one billion people of the country.
‘General Musharaf, who advocates ‘self-rule’ to Kashmires in India, should provide the same self rule to the residents of PoK, Prof Singh counseled.
Earlier, on his arrival to the town from New Delhi, Prof Singh was given a standing ovation by thousands of Congress workers.
Later, he also held a meeting of his party working committee and visited the parents of Jahoor Ahmed Hafiz, Youth President, to express his condolence to the family of Hafiz who was brutally gunned down by the ultras last week.
