| WDC organizes exhibition at Chandigarh | | | JAMMU FEB-12
To help Self Help Groups to exhibit their products and ensure remunerative prices, Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Development Corporation (WDC) organized an exhibition at Chandigarh under the aegis of NMDFC scheme run by the it.
About 50 women beneficiaries from all over the state participated in the exhibition and made sales worth Rs.40,000.
The self help groups of Swayamsiddha exhibited the products which they produced after the training was imparted by Kalamkari Centre Society Janipore here .The exhibition evoked good response as a large number of people evinced keen interests in the products displayed at the exhibition. The products included Embroidery and Zari shawls, Chikri wood- work, readymade garments, papier machie, Koreshia embroidery, dry fruits, soft toys and artificial flowers and Kashmiri ‘wazwan’.
