Anil Gupta briefed the representatives of these areas about the policies and ideology of party. Addressing to people at Doda, Udhampur, Kishtwar and Bhaderwah area , Anil Gupta reiterated that ,"Successive Governments led by Kashmir based politicians has deliberately discriminated with the people of Jammu. Delimitation has been banned up to 2026 as its implementation will give much weight to Jammu as far as population and Assembly constituencies are concerned. The recent example of this apathy is the announcement of 16 new urban local bodies (ULB's) by the Government. Out of 16 new ULB's only 4 are for Jammu and rest 12 are for Kashmir. Whereas funds for Municipal Corporations and Municipal Committees are being dispersed by Central Government on the basis of number of ULB's. Government has raised the number of wards of Srinagar Municipal Corporation to 75 from existing 65 whereas in Jammu it remains unchanged at 71. This is in contrast to the tall claims made by NC-Congress Coalition that all regions would get equal treatment. " Said Anil Gupta. Those who accompanied Anil Gupta during the interaction with people in these areas are Murari Lal, Krishan Lal, Ram Kumar, Vijay Shastri, Munish Khajuria, Janki Nath, Suresh Kumar (Sarpanch), Jai Raj (Sarpanch), Anil Kumar Shan (Sarpanch), Sunny Mahajan, Sanjay Pradhan, Sanjeev Jandia, Susheel Raina, Advocate Akhil Dubey, Arun Kumar, Pankaj Sharma. |
