| Two LeT militants arrested, one HM militant surrenders | | | Srinagar | Feb 12 In a major success two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfits were arrested while a militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) outfit also the Battalion Commander of Lolab Kupwara area surrendered before the police at Budgam this morning. According to reports, acting on specific information, Budgam Police apprehended two militants of LeT outfits. They have been identified as Hilal Ahmed Mir, son of Abdul Razak of Chak Roodikhan, Sopore and Mohammed Iqbal Najar, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din of Nowpora, Sopore. According to sources, both the arrested militants were involved in providing logistical support to the militants especially foreigners. They also acted as couriers and were responsible for the recent surge in militancy related activities in Sopore, sources added. Meanwhile, a militant of HM outfit namely Mohammed Asif Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid of Lolab Kupwara, also the Battalion Commander of his area surrendered before District Police, Budgam. A total of two AK 47 rifles, six magazines, 160 rounds, one hand grenade and one Kenwood wireless set were also recovered from the three militants.
