JAMMU, Nov 7: Three days "Cluster Level Meet" under CMP 2012-13 commenced today at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Udhampur for the celebration of "Children's Day" The meet was being attended by 201 students and the escort teachers of seven schools namely K.V. No. 1 Udhampur, KV No 2 Udhampur, KV Jindrah, KV Jyotipuram, KV Chenani, K.V. Bhaderwah, and KV Kishtwar with great enthusiasm. On the inaugural day of the three days cluster level meet Dr. R Prasad, the Venue Principal was the chief guest and the Vice Principal Vikra maditya was the guest of honor who were welcomed by the HM Usha Koul, Anita Jamwal, Savita Sadhu and Surinder. Speaking on the occasion, Usha Koul, the headmistress presented the welcome address and threw light on the importance on holding cluster meet. She said it enables the children to show their talent, capabilities and bring about cooperation and team spirit among the children. Dr. R. Prasad in his speech told the importance of sports, cultural and literary competition in the life of students. He said such competition develop a healthy mind in the healthy body and enable the children to come closer and understand each other better. After the meet was declared open, cultural competition in Group Dance and Rangoli Competition was held. The sports competition was held in Cone Relay Race and the Sack Race. The participants also took part in the Quiz Competition which was organized by Navjeet Kaur. |
