| 'Mechanization of production system results into unemployment' | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 7: The first Conference of general workers of Industrial Estate Workers Union Jammu held at Bari Brahamana Jammu in which members observed that the highly scientific mechanization of production system has created unemployment in the state as well on the global level. The conference was inaugurated by Com Nirdosh Uppal Chief Organizer of CITU of Jammu and Kashmir State Committee. Participants in this meeting observed the highly scientific development in mechanization of production system has created unemployment in the state as well on the global level. The conference also feels that judiciary instead of providing justice delaying the cases for years together thus becoming the tool of exploitations of common man. This Conference also feels globalization of capital and nationalization of labour force, seeting up the SEZ (special economic zones) has opened the door of exploitations of labour in the hands of corporate houses. The Conference calls upon all the Trade Union to fight out the anti labour polices untiedly irrespective of their political affiliation. The Conference has adopted the resolution to launched struggle by mobilizing the working class in future on points, abolition of Contractual labour Act the fixation of wages in the ration of 1:10 of worker and management, the fixation of minimum wages should be on the basis of WHO (World Health Organization). Other demands highlighted during the daylong conference included restart of all closed industrial Units, opening of Technical Institutions for providing training to workers on advance technology, for formation of strict rules and regulations for the concerned labor officials for implementation of laws and provision for corrupt officials to be terminated if found involved in corrupt practices. Later Conference also expressed solidarity with struggling workers of Singer India Ltd and with the workers of MET Trade India Ltd. In last Conference elected 18 Members of Executive Committee including Office Bearers, President Shamsher Singh, Working Presidnet Sunil Kumar, Vice President Manohar Lal, Secretary Subash Kumar, Joint Secretary Sanjeev tiwari, Advisor Nirdosh Uppal. |
