Sham urges for better health care facilities
Annual Performance Award ceremony held

SRINAGAR, Nov 7: Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Sham Lal Sharma stressed upon medical and paramedical staff for providing better healthcare facilities to the people and perform their duties with full zeal and enthusiasm round the clock. He urged upon them to utilize their best efforts for the noble profession in serve of mankind.
The Minster was addressing an impressive Annual Performance Award ceremony function organized by Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir here today.
Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director Indian System of Medicines, Dr. Abdul Kabeer, officers of Health Department, besides medical and para medical officials also attended the function.
On the occasion, the Minister gave Annual Performance Awards to the medical and paramedical staff for performing their duties during Annual Amarnath Yatra and Hajj 2012 with dedication, sincerity and enthusiasm round the clock and for providing better healthcare facilities to the people.
Sham said, it is a matter of pride for the stake holders of the State and the coalition Government for getting number one Award in the country consecutively in last two years in providing better health care services in the State.
He lauded the role of medical fraternity and said despite constraints it is because of hard work and devotion of medical and paramedical staff that our State has been nominated for the award. He urged upon them to keep up the tempo for rendering better services to the people of the State.
Minister also hailed the cleanliness and sanitation being maintained in the health institutions of the state.
Director Health and Director ISM also spoke on the occasion besides, representatives of Coordination Committee of Employees, Health Department, Field Doctors Association and others hailed the contribution of State Government for its efforts in improving healthcare facilities in the State.
