| Bhim establishes Haq-Insaf centre at Srinagar | | | Srinagar | Feb 13 Chairman of the Panthers Party Prof. Bhim Singh addressing a largely attended press conference in Srinagar (Kashmir) this morning demanded a judicial commission headed by a sitting or retired judge of High Court assisted by CBI to investigate the fake encounter in which a local worker namely, Abdul Rehman Padder was killed in Srinagar last week. Prof. Bhim Singh appreciated the Chief Minister’s action against some police officials and announcement to appoint a judicial committee. The Panthers Party chief set up a ‘Haq-Insaf’ center in Srinagar which shall collect the complaints of the people in the Valley about the missing person since 1989. Bashir Ahmed Kathoo, Advocate in the High Court shall head the center with five other advocates who shall complete the report within three months. Prof. Bhim Singh also welcomed the offer of Sardar Attique Khan, POK premier to extend the gas pipeline from POK to J&K, India. The Panthers Party chief said that POK premier’s suggestion to promote trade relation between POK and J&K across the LoC shall strengthen CBMs between India and Pakistan. Prof. Bhim Singh declared that Intra-Parliamentary Committee of the Legislators of POK and J&K shall be set up under the chairmanship of Sadar Mohd. Abdul Qayyum Khan shortly. He said this proposal was declared by Sardar Mohd. Abdul Qayyum Khan, Supremo of All J&K Muslim Conference, in New Delhi in September 2005 during the ‘Intra-J&K Heart to heart Talks’ held in New Delhi. The next heart to heart talks shall also be held in middle of April, 2007 in New Delhi. He thanked Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India for clearance to hold the conference.
