Boundary wall of PDD demolished
Residents appreciate ‘Early Times’

Boundary wall of Power development department which was raised on the park site, was today demolished by the team of housing board. On 28 Nov 2002, the Power Development department encroached upon the Public park in Shastri Nagar locality and raised unauthorized construction there. This also forced the people to strong protest against PDD act, Following the resistance shown by the people the further constitution was stopped by the PDD with an assurance that the department would remove all the encroachment and restore original Park site very soon however contrary to the assurance, the department restarted further construction of the unauthorized building over the land which was reducing the park to one third. As the matter was brought with the notice of concerned departments no action was taken to stop PDD and remove the encroachment.
With the Publication of article in “PDD encroaches Public Park in Shastri Nagar” “ Early Times” concerned authorities woke up for action against the unauthorized building and boundary wall over the public park.
Dy General having unit IInd on Jan 27/06 wrote a letter to the land management cum estate officer for remaining the building and boundary walls and after all yesterday it was a surprise for the local public when they saw the boundary wall of Power development department was demolishing by the team of housing board. They also assured that the constructed building will also be demolishing by the team of housing board. They also assured that the constructed building will also be demolished immediately Inorder to maintain a quite atmosphere in the public park.
However the local residents of Shastri Nagar have deeply appreciated the ‘Early Times’ for supporting and publishing such articles in the newspaper for finally remaining the unauthorized building from the local park.
