| World Bank decision vindicates NC position, says Kamal | | | Jammu, Feb 14
Senior National Conference leader and MLA, Dr. Mustafa Kamal has said the World Bank verdict on Bhagliar has vindicated the position of National Conference for starting the project in 2000. He said world has now come to conclude that the project approved by NC was correct and for the benefit of the people of J&K.
He said it has fully exposed PDP particularly the false press conference given by its president when she gave wrong date of signing of Indus Water Treaty. The verdict specifically mentions the treaty of 1960 which was signed by those rulers of the time who were enemies of late Sheikh Abdullah and people of Kashmir.
Mr. Kamal said history is witness to the fact that late Sheikh was released after three years after the infamous treaty was signed. He said the criminal silence of PDP leaders who were at that time part and parcel of the group of people who played anti-Kashmiri role from the beginning . He said history can’t even forget the statement of mms given in 1971 praising Gen. Manek Shaw for liberating Bangladesh and advised him to dismantle whole Pakistan.
Mr. Kamal further said that PDP is a combination of persons who are enemies of Kashmir and its real interests. He said it is on the basis of this animosity and anti-Kashmir secret agenda of PDP that Women’s state subject bill was defeated and it was posed as if they are supporting it. He said it was PDP which strengthened central rule in Kashmir and got central services installed but today they are claiming that they are for decentralization. He said PDP is secretly in understanding with Jammu Morcha and with those elements who want to divide J&K into three pieces. He said MM herself has told Karan Thapar that self rule concept has been drafted by Mr. JN Dixit, the then Foreign Secretary who was very close to BJP think tank Jagmohan. He said actually PDP’s self rule is the brain child of Jagmohan who wants to destroy the state’s autonomy through all means. He said self rule of PDP is already documented in Jagmohan’s book My Frozen Turbulence in Kashmir and PDP in the shape of dramatic means is trying to implement his agenda who was brought by them in 1990 to kill Kashmiris.
