RS Pura, Nov 29 : Core committee members of SGEJAC (State Govt Employees Joint Action Committee) continued their "Karamchari Sampark Abhiyan" on the fourth consecutive day and a team of SGEJAC visited various government offices situated at R S Pura, Chakrio, and Bishnah to garner support to future programme to raise employees demands The visiting members of team addressed series of meeting of various employees bodies in which they conveyed message of unity and the causes of the disunity amongst the employees bodies of the State. The trade Union leaders of the State have badly jeopardized the movement by splitting the Employees Joint Action committee after 1992 and so as they have framed as many as six to seven JACs on their personal names and styles. "These employees' bodies are serving the Government rather than struggling for the consideration of demands, the team members said. During the meetings they highlighted the demands including regularization of daily wagers, consolidated, adhoc and contractual workers irrespective of their appointment year, removal of pay anomalies, extending of full 6th pay commission report in toto in favour of PSUs, increase in the medical allowance to Rs. 1000/- , withdrawal of conditions on GP fund accounts and increase in the retirement age. Speaking on the occasion Subhash Verma, Suresh Sharma, Sushil Sudan, Maheshwar Sharma, Swaran Singh , Mohd Farooq explained the employees the motive and mission of the SGEJAC which has started the direct contact with the employees. They informed that a 'State level Samelan' of employees leaders is on cards and the further course of action will be announced after ascertaining the will and aspiration of the employees. The team members received good response from different employees /trade union organizations in R S Pura block and all organizations assured full support to the employees struggle under the banner of SGEJAC. The SGEJAC teams was accompanied with Ajit Kumar, Surjit Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Subhash Sharma, Manjoor ahamed, and others during their visit to different areas of RS Pura. |
