| ‘Daya’ awarded prestigious National Theatre Award | | |

Daya Ram ‘Daya’, a young talented artist of the State has been awarded the prestigious National Theatre Award 2006-07. He is associated with many literary organizations and is a prolific and progressive poet as well.
National Youth Project is organizing a function at Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra Noida for conferring this award to ‘Daya’ on March 15 next.
Daya well known name in the literary circles of the state, has been associated with the local threatres ‘Duggar Manch’ and ‘Smooth Theatre’ for the last fifteen years and has performed in more than 40 full length plays and about 300 ‘ Nukkad Natak’(Street plays). His much talked about performance are in the plays like’ Maha- Brahmana’, Edipus, Dak Ghar, Ik Ladai Hoar, Aphi Dafli Apna Raag, Ajnabi,Alhad Golli Veer Saphai and Garebu Da Shilla.
Several literary organizations and personalities have congratulated Daya for winning the prestigious award and bringing laurels to the State.
