| Two Militants killed in Tral | | |
Srinagar, February 14
Two militants were killed in Tral, in a joint operation of police Awantipora Camp Tral and security forces.
According to SP Awantipora Sardar Khan an encounter took place between police Awantipora Camp Tral and security forces of 50-RR and militants near village Pastuna jurisdiction of police station Tral. Two Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were killed in the encounter. AK rifle-02, Mags-04 and ammunition 36 rounds were recovered from the killed militants. One of them is believed to be a Pakistani, while identity of another is being ascertained.
In another incident Police Pampore noticed a suspicious movement of some unknown militants at Galander Pampore. Police party challenged to stop but they fired on the police party. Police party retaliated in self defence, However militants managed to escape taking advantage of darkness leaving behind a bag containing following arms ammunition rifle-02, Chinese Pistol-02, AK Mags-02, Pistol Mags-02, AK Ammunition-40 rounds and Pistol ammunition 10-rounds. No loss of life or injury. Case registered.
