Nami dogri Sanstha, the Art Foundation (Regd.) in collaboration with Northern Regional Laguages Centre, Patiala is organizing a six days workshop on preparation of teaching material composition in Dogri for non-cognate group of NRLC, from 15th Feb. to 20th Feb.
The workshop shall be inaugurated by Ved Bhasin as Chef guest and the literary luminaries of dogri like N.D. Jamwal, Yash Sharma, Dr. Om Goswami, Mohan Singh, all Sahitya Academy Awardees and Anand Lehar as guest of honours, Dr, Jitender Udhampur Shivdev Singh Sushil, Krishan Sharma, Om Vidyarthi, Virender Kesar, Gianeshwar, Abhishav, Parkash Premi, Sham Lala Raina, Dr. Gian Singh, Tara Smailpuri all Shatiya Academy Awardees, Dr. S.P. Srivatsa, K.K. Shakir, Dr. Azra choudhary, Prof. Shiv Nirmohi, Yash Pal Nirmal, Dr. Neelam Sareen, I.J. Kesar, Dr. Neeraj Baru, Dr. Chanchal Bhasin, Mulkh Raj Bamagi, Mohan Lal Komal, Mohan Singh Jamwal, Pyasa Anjum, Pavittar Singh Slathia, Balwain Singh Jamuria, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Waryam Samrat, Sudershan Khajuria and Pawan Bloria besides others are accepted to participate in the workshop.
The inauguration ceremony shall be held at K.L. Shegal Hall in cultural Academy complex, NRLC, Patiala will be present on the occasion who is the co-ordinating the workshop along with the local ordinator Dogra Harish Kaila, President, NDS-TAF.
The aims and objections of the workshop shall be to prepare special package in respect of second language by way of standardization of letter writing, service writing, essay writing and shall cover all aspects like Dogri idioms and phrases, socio-cultural items and dogri vocabulary. This shall relate to composition in Dogri, which has not been done yet.
Vocabulary part shall be dealt under IPA system so that non-dogri knowing people can learn and speak dogri words in proper pronunciation. The other issues shall be dealt with in Devnagri script. The workshop shall prepare material not only for those who do not write and speak Dogri but also for all levels of students who learn first language and who shall find its useful for letter writing, essay writing and service writing extra. This was discussed and stated by Harish Kaila.
Dr. B. Mallikarjun Asstt. Director Administration and Academic Secretary from Central Institute of Indian Languages Mysore shall be participating in the workshop. The Dogri faculty of NRLC Patiala comprising of Dr. Jog Raj, Principal, NRLC alongwith lecturers Sh. Kuldeep Raj Dogra & Sh. Narsingh Dass shall be participated as resource persons.
The local co-ordinations for the workshop shall be Sham Lal Raina, Dr. Gian singh, Dogra Harish Kaila, Yash Pal Yash and Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS. Yash Pal Yash, KUmari Chanchal Sharma and Ms. Anjali Sharma shall conduct the proceeding from time to time.
