| Doc gets another notice for tampering DoB certficate | | |
Jammu, February 15
Secretary Health K B Jandial on Thursday served another notice to Medical Superintendent District Hospital Udhampur Dr Abdul Hamid Mir directing him to deposit his salary of last two years with immediate effect failing which govt will issue notice to attach his property.
Official sources said approximately an amount of Rs 10 lakh is at stake and if the doctor failed to deposit the same as per the schedule government would go ahead and attach his property.
It may be mentioned that Secretary Health had earlier issued orders terminating services of Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Udhampur, Dr Abdul Hamid Mir with effect from March 31, 2005 on the basis of a report submitted by the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) saying that Dr Mir had tempered his date of birth to extend his stay in services by two years. As per the termination order Dr Mir is deemed to have retired on 31.3.2005.
