| ‘Granting ownership to farmers on state land fulfills Mahatma Gandhi’s dream’ | | | Jammu, February 15 The Gandhian workers have unanimously hailed the revolutionary Bill passed by Azad led Government under which 16.60 lakh kanals of state land were given free of cost to one million poor farmers. Mr. S. P Verma President, J&K Gandhian workers, while speaking to the rally of Gandhian workers said that Roshni Rally in entire J&K state will be taken by Gandhian workers in all nook and corners of the state. He said that in the darkness of violence, Gandhi Ji detected “Ray of Roshni” in J&K State in 1947 and today Mr. Azad being true follower of Gandhi proved to the people what that ray of Roshni was. He said that Gandhi who was a symbol of secularism and mutual brotherhood always desired that farmers should be encouraged to grow more crops and other agriculture production. It was basis of Gandhi’s economic concept and pivotal factor of Swaraj. The decision of Mr. Azad that this land will be non transferable and shall always be used for agricultural purposes only, will not strengthen the self sufficiency of the state only but boost the economy of the country as well. He said when steps are being taken for free trade and free commerce, it is necessary to be self sufficient in agriculture. Mr. Verma said that Bhoodhan movement of Vinobahbave has now been given a new life by Mr. Azad. He said that like 1950’s revolutionary law of land to tillers, future generation will remember Azad’, revolutionary Roshni law for thousands of years to come. On the occasion, all the Gandhian workers complimented Mr. Azad for his bold and revolutionary decision for the cause of people which is fast ushering the state towards prosperity.
