| CULTURAL PROGRAMME held | | | JAMMU, February 15
Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu in collaboration with Delhani Youth Club and Quaderchak Youth Club organised a District Folk Cultural programme at High School Khojipur. More than 12 teams of various Youth Clubs/Mahila Mandals of block Samba, Vijaypur, Bishnah and R .S. Pura participated and presented the folk cultural programme, folk dances, group dances, national songs etc.
The objective of organising this folk programme was to provide an opportunity to the rural youth of the district to display their cultural talents, to highlight multi-dimensional facets of the cultural background of the district and to stimulate the participation of the youth in various activities.
On this occasion, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Jammu, Sh. Nisar Ahmad Bhat was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion he called upon the people in general and youth in particular to maintain the rich cultural heritage of the district. Large number of people witnessed the programme and appreciated the efforts of the Bnehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu for organising such type of folk cultural programme. |
