Bar Association Mendhar have gone on a week long strike to press its demand for establishment of Additional Sessions Court in the Tehsil.
The striking lawyers are demanding immediate establishment of the Court in view of the large pendency of cases and geographical status of Mendhar Tehsil. The striking lawyers said that Mendhar is the most deserving and appropriate place for establishment of newly created additional sessions’ court.
The lawyers took out a procession and vowed to fight till their demand is met by the government. Large number of people of the area also joined the procession and assured full support to the striking lawyers.
Among others, who took part in the strike, included B H Khan, Shoukat Choudhary, Z A Beig,Anzar Ahmed Khan and A H Shah Advocates.
