| Charak, Hussain greet people on Mahashivratri | | | JAMMU, February 16
Greeting the people on Mahashivrartri festival Minister for Rural and B Mr. Gulchan Singh Charak said that the festival leads us to the divine principals of lord Shiva to work for the welfare of humanity.
This was stated by the Minister while visiting the Shiva Mandir, greater Kailash and Rehari Jammu this morning to takes part in Pooja. The biggest function was held at Shiva Mandhir Rehari where thousands of devotees attended pooja.
Hailing the composite culture of the state, Mr. Charak said that all the festivals of different religions stress for the communal harmony and mutual brotherhood. He said that it was a rich tradition of this state that the people of the other communities attend the festivals to uphold the tradition of the state.
He prayed that the festival may bring peace and prosperity in the state.
Minister of State for Power and Health, Peer Mohammad Hussain has also greeted on Mahashivratri. |
