| Girl jumps into River Chenab | | Three persons killed in road accident, two succumb to injuries | | JAMMU AUGUST-1
Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents, two persons, including a woman, succumbed to their injuries, while a 14 year girl committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab.
A Police spokesman said that two persons were killed on spot when a Tipper NO 2799/JK02C hit a truck NO 5565/JK02L. Both the deceased were shifted to GMC here for postmortem and identification. In another accident, one person was killed when a Tractor NO 5075/JK14-A on its way from Krimchi to Salmari met with an accident. The deceased has been identified as Pankaj Sharma.
The spokesman said that Jia Lal son of Shekhar Pandita of Muthi Camp, who was admitted in GMC here as a road accident case on July 24 last, expired last evening.
In the meantime, a 14 year girl Rubia Bano daughter of Mohammed Latif of Farmat Tehsil Mahore committed suicide by jumping in river Chenab at Dham Kund. Her body is yet untraced and the police has initiated proceedings under section 174 Cr PC in this regard.
The spokesman said that Harpreet Kour wife of Gurdev Singh of Mendhar, who was admitted in GMC here due to sustained injuries, succumbed to her injuries today. The body has been handed over to the family members after conducting post mortem.
