Twelve shops were gutted when fire broke out due to short circuit in a welding shop at Karnah, in the frontier district of Kupwara last night. According to reports, twelve shops in a market at Karnah were gutted in fire due to electric short circuit in a welding shop which immediately engulfed the adjoining shops. Fire tenders immediately rushed to the spot and put the fire under control within an hour.
