2/16/2007 11:07:20 PM

Srinagar | Feb 16
Crime Branch, Kashmir charge sheeted two persons, including an under suspension Senior Assistant of the Board of Secondary Education, for duping a person of Rs.14.5 lacs on the fake assurance of managing admission of his son in MBBS course without appearing in entrance test. The sleuths of Crime Branch investigated into the case after the receipt of complaint by victim and confirmed that accused persons had duped the complainant.
According to reports, one Shaban Gogri of Mohalla Iqbal Colony, Baramulla registered a complaint with Crime Branch alleging therein that he was introduced to one Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar, son of Mohammad Sidiq of Budshah Nagar Natipora, Sr Asstt in the Board of Secondary Education (presently under suspension) by one Bilal Ahmed Bhat, son of Abdul Khaliq of Syed Karim, Baramulla during the year 2000 for managing the admission of complainant’s son Showkat Ahmad against the payment of Rs. 14.50 lacs. Through deceitful means the accused Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar obtained an amount of Rs 14.50 lacs in advance but neither any admission for MBBS was managed nor was the money obtained by the accused returned to the complainant. However, an order purportedly issued by Principal Govt Medical College, Srinagar confirming admission of Showket Ahmed Gojrii for MBBS was provided by accused Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar to the complainant which later on was proved to be fake. This ultimately led to the registration of criminal case under FIR 73/2004 under section 420, 4678, 468, 471, 120-B RPC at Crime Branch Kashmir. The case was investigated by the officers of Crime Branch. Investigation held into the affair transpired that Bilal Ahmed Bhat motivated the complainant to pay an amount of Rs. 14.50 Lacs to Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar for arranging admission in MBBS for complainant’s son without appearing in entrance test. Some documents confirming admission of Showket Ahmad Gojri for MBBS which also include admit card etc were provided by Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar to the complainant. Even a list of candidates selected for undergoing MBBS course was got published in local daily news papers which too was fake. The documents seized in the case were referred to FSL for opinion. FSL opinion also confirmed Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar to be the author of the some of the documents. The circumstantial evidence itself connected the accused with the authorship of documents. The evidence collected clearly substantiated that the accused persons had entered into criminal conspiracy to cheat the complainant in a big way. The complainant demanded his money back from the accused persons but no money was returned.
