| JURSEA demands impartial enquiry into corruption episode | | Express solidarity with the complainant | | Jammu | Feb 16 Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) in its first reaction to the corruption episode in the Economics Department, demanded impartial enquiry into the entire episode and expressed solidarity with the complainant. They also demanded Vice Chancellor’s attention towards the grievances of the scholars. Addressing a press conference at JURSEA office, Anuradha Goswami, Vice President said that an impartial enquiry into the entire episode is required to the reveal the truth. She urged VC to come out with a proper schedule for both M Phil and Ph D to prevent the exploitation of scholars at the hands of their guides. She expressed her full support to the female Scholar, Rajni Sharma for her bold step of exposing the wrong happening in the campus. Meanwhile, Rajinder Manhas, Chairman JURSEA, said that this issue should be taken seriously by JUTA as it is related with a teacher. This kind of issues spoils the profession of teaching and sends wrong signal in the society, he added. Amit Sharma, Gen Secretary also echoed the similar sentiments and said that JURSEA couldn’t ignore the grievances of scholars whatever may be the nature of issue or person involved while Pavinder Singh, Joint Secretary expressed hope that Vice Chancellor will certainly take genuine and required action pertaining to the issue and demanded that all the interests of the female scholar should be protected.
