| 'JKPCC needs to be renamed as Jammu Kashmir Complete Corruption Corporation' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 18: Blaming the state government for its 'crocodile tears' all the times in the name of negligence, People's Action and Public Accountability (PAPA) said that Jammu Kashmir Project Construction Corporation (JKPCC) is defamed as a corruption hub in the state since long but none of the Chief Ministers have ever dared to book JKPCC big bosses for their misdeeds and corruption. While talking to the members and associate members during a meeting of the organization, PAPA President Deep Singh said that exposure related to NC minister's son's involvement in recent Assembly wall collapse is sufficient to know the reasons behind. Recently exposed wastage of more than Rs 16 crores on a bridge at Doda by the central technical team is another black spot on the face of state government while CM is feeling helpless to rein in the corruption, Singh added. Singh regretted that nobody in state government or its executive ever raised objection against the sub-standard working of JKPCC during construction of Advocate General office at J&K High Court complex at Jammu which has developed big cracks since its completion and similarly the entrance stair cases of newly built offices of Divisional Commissioner at Rail Head and State Institute of Education at Muthi, Jammu where stepping has been built in a 75 degree slanting causing a total inconvenience to the visitors. Now as on date, should such a foul play in the name of so-called development be allowed? Only the people at the helm of affairs have to decide, he added. Singh demanded that without wasting time, state government must wind-up the existence of JKPCC for ever or should rename it as "Jammu Kashmir Complete Corruption Corporation". |
