| Thousands assembled at Qazipora and Patooshay to express their jubilious | | |
Jammu, February 17
Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad the most dynamic and revolutionary leader has not only given the people of Bandipora a new district but under Roshni Act thousands of farmers and tillers are getting benefit of thousands of kanals of land, said MLA Bandipora Usman Majid while addressing a mammoth rallies at Qazipora and Patooshay areas.
He expressed on behalf of the people is gratitude to Mr. Azad for services of his people friendly step. He said after 1950 revolutionary land to tillers laws, the present Roshni Act is one of the historical step of present century.
Mr. Usman said that people of Bandipora are eagerly waiting for arrival of Chief Minister before April 2007 so that Bandipora district starts working from first day of next financial year. He said that since he has taken over as MLA of the area he pleaded for creation of new district. He was aware of the fact that Wazir Commission has only recommended for one district for Kashmir valley and demands for Kashmir valley were fulfilled after 27 years and nobody was given any heat for the demand of the people. He said when he was Minister of State is only demand was creation of the district but it was being delayed. He said that he has no words to express that now quickly Mr. Azad after taking as Chief Minister not only implemented Qazir Commission but gave fourth district to Kashmir valley instead of one. He said through this decision people of Bandipora were real beneficiaries and now farmers are another lot of beneficiary. He said that I am happy that my consequent pleading the case for creation of new district yielded results with head and high I am before the public on this occasion raised slogans in his favour and received him with cheers. |
