| Government accords priority to Education: Mangat | | | Jammu, February 17 Expansion of educational institutions in private sector has open up new vistas for the students community who earlier had to go out side the state for obtaining modern, scientific and technical studies said Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma at an inaugural function of new Modern Higher Secondary School building at Sainik Colony here today. He said that earlier students from the state were forced to go outside the state for obtaining higher education but after the present government took over the education sector was given priority attention and net work of schools, colleges and universities set up with latest infrastructure both in private and public sector and now overall scenario has been changed and students from other states prefer to seek admissions in J&K. Minister also inaugurated a Bal-Mela organised by School Management. Students from various schools participated in the mela and displayed their models depicting the methods for conservation of water and use of solar energy. Mr. Sharma also distributed prizes among the students whose models were adjudged best. Chairman New Modern Group of Institutions Mrs. Loveln Behl, Director New Modern School Mr. Tarn Behl, Parents, teachers and large number of students attended the function. |
