| Seminar on NRHM at Pulwama | | | Pulwama, February 17 A seminar on National Rural Health Mission was held at Pulwama presided over by District Development Commissioner. The seminar was organized by District Rural Health Society in which Officers of Health, Education, Rural Development, other departments participated. Various components of National Rural Health Mission, methods of NSV and small family were discussed. The District Development Commissioner said the programmes of this mission should be implemented by the Health functionaries and priority should be given to remote areas so that poor people benefited. He stressed upon the officers to cooperate with doctors and medical staff to aware public by counselling. He said the health care and stability is the need of the hour and doctors should keep close liaison with common people. Under Rural Health Mission, Rs.14 lakh have been spent during the last one year in the district work is satisfactory in the field of maternity and child health care in the district, for which 724 ASHAS have been selected. On this occasion, the doctors delivered lectures on NSV and small family methods. |
