JAMMU, Jan 1: Army Public School (APS) Rakh Mutti and Coaching Center Astroturf today entered into the final of the ongoing Women's Hockey Tournament, organised by the Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here. Now, both will meet each other for the title clash slated to be held on January three at 1.30 pm at the same venue. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, APS Rakh Mutti outplayed Government College for Women (GCW) Parade 2-0 in tie breaker. In the stipulated time the match ended in a goalless draw. However, in tie-breaker, APS girls converted two of the penalty strokes into goal through Priya Rajput and Tania Chib to win the match. General secretary of Hockey J&K, Rumal Singh was special guest in this match. Meanwhile, in another semifinal of the day, Coaching Center Astroturf trounced SOS School by a solitary goal. The only goal of the match came through Rishu Sharma in the 25th minute. Member Hockey India, G S Bakshi was special guest in second semifinal, who was introduced with the teams. Today's semifinals were officiated by J S Reen, Rohit Sharma, Jagjeet Singh and Digvijay Singh. |
