INTUC seeks extension in contractual lecturers’ tenure

Seeking extension of time to lecturers, appointed on contractual basis, the District President of Indian National Trade Union Congress Tariq Husasin Zarger said that their detachment midway would adversely affect the teaching system in almost all the higher secondary schools of the district.
Addressing pressmen here today the INTUC President said that disengagement of the staff would adversely hamper the working of the schools as the syllabus has not been covered as yet as the session started as late as June last and strongly demanded that the term of the lecturers working on contractual basis should be extended up to May this year.
He also demanded increase in the salary of the contractual lectures to Rs.10,000 from Rs.7000 at present.
Those who were present on the occasion included Mukhtiar Ahmed Mir, Romesh Razdan, Naresh Raina, Rakesh Raina, Din Mohd Mir, R.R.Dar and Mohd Sajid.
