Mahashivratri celebrated with religious ferver

BHADARWAH, Feb 17
Like other parts of the State, “Mahashivratri” was celebrated with great enthusiasm, favor and gusto at Bhadarwah town. People in large numbers thronged the historical Shiv temple at Gupt Ganga to seek blessings of Lord Shiva. Special prayers were also held on the occasion and the religious leader of the community gave lectures related to “Lord Shiva” and highlighted the importance of celebration of “Mahashivratri”
Speaking on the occasion, the religious leaders of the community said that Mahashivratri symbolizes great composite culture of the state and signifies strengthening the bonds of love between all sections of the society. Mahashivratri inspires people to strive towards the pursuit of Truth, which leads to the ultimate consciousness epitomized by “Lord Shiva”.
A langer was also arranged for the devotees and members of other communities warmly greeted their Hindu brethren on the occasion .
