Valedictory function organized under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

Jammu, Jan 1: An impressive valedictory function was organized at Government Model Middle School Satwari under the aegis of Zonal Resource Group, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Zone Satwari in which 80 teachers of various government schools of Satwari participated and threw lights on the importance of ten days in-service teachers training programme.
The valedictory function was presided over by Sardar Gurvinder Singh, Zonal Education Planning Officer Satwari whereas Zonal Education Officer Satwari Parveen Akhter was the Chief Guest of the function.
In his address, ZEO Satwari Parveen Akhter said that SSA aims at universalization of elementary education and providing quality education which is useful and relevant and for this purpose the in-service teachers training programmes are very essential. She said that such type of trainings helps the teachers to develop a dynamic and futuristic pedagogy by acquisition of competencies needed for effective performance with inbuilt commitment to realize the objectives of education.
She hoped that participant teachers inculcate the real knowledge in students with the help of new methods of teachings. She also congratulated the course coordinator and resource persons for successful training programme.
In his presidential address ZEPO Satwari Sardar Gurvinder Singh said that teachers are the builders of the nation and it is moral duty of teachers to impart quality education.
He said that such type of training programmes liberate the teachers from the prescribed traditional pedagogy, transactional practices and evaluation procedures. He further said that trainings or capacity building programmes bring about the attitudinal change in the teachers for fresh classroom activities.
In his key note address Course Coordinator, In-service teachers training programme, Nasir Ahmed Qurashi said that in-service teachers training stimulates the teachers mind and familiar them with new methods of teachings.
He thanked the State Project Director SSA J&K, Director School Education Jammu and Chief Education Officer Jammu for their able guidance and support.
He also thanked the faculty members from DIET Jammu and Resource Persons of different subjects for their academic help during training programme.
