Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: In a hurriedly called meeting under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, president All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) member took the stock of the advertisement given by the coalition partners of the state govt to accredit it for four years of achievements and leading state towards "Peace, progress and prosperity."
The speakers and participants were amazed over such an advertisement and termed the State OBCs whose population in the State is more than 50% and they are without constitutional rights in the state. The members observed that keeping public high and dry by depriving them from their constitutional rights, the Govt cannot boast of its visionary Governance. "Those who got nothing since 1992 after the Apex Court's Judgment on Mandal Report by adopting treacherous attitude for the state OBCs, how they can term that the Govt is leading towards peace, progress and prosperity, they added.
They said that OBC Advisory and Development Board under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister himself has yielded nothing so far.
All the speakers termed the four years of the coalition as a 'wastage' of valuable time in which much could have been done for the upliftment of the poor and added Govt which does not honour the judgment of the Apex Court, cannot be termed as the people friendly Govt. They alleged that govt taking advantage of Article 370 is eluding the down trodden community and described that the four years of coalition could be termed as anti people particularly for the OBCs.
Among others who were present in this meeting Puran Chargotra, Mouj Sharan, Shambu Parshad, Darshan Kumar, Natha Ram (Principal), Manga Ram and etc.
