| MEA holds meeting with GMC principal | | | Jammu | Feb 19
A meeting of both the components of Medical Education Department viz. Administrative and field agencies was held at Govt. Medical College, here to day and was presided by Principal Govt. Medical College Jammu, Dr. Mumtaz Goni.
According to press release the charter of demands viz, holding of DPC of all Quasi permanent orders of employees who have rendered more than three years service were discussed in details. After the discussions, Principal Dr. Goni issued on spot some orders regarding time bound promotions and quasi permanent. Principal further assured that the pending orders of quasi permanent shall be issued within 10 days, and pending cases of time bound promotions shall be issued before 15th July and the DPC process shall be completed before 15th April 2007.
Later in a meeting of the Medical Employees association (MEA) was held under the chairmanship of Baldev Raj Nargotra, which hailed the gesture of the administration for patient hearing and expressing keenness to redress the genuine problems of the Medical Employees in general and Medical department in particular. Other representative of the association who took part in the deliberations include Farooq. Davinder Rathore, Ashok Sharma, Bishan Verma, Ashok Manhas, Naresh Kumar, Pawanjeet Kour and Ajay Kumar.
