| Sayeed strongly condemns Samjhauta blast | | | Jammu, Feb 19
Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has strongly condemned the blast on the Samjhauta Express killing scores of innocent men, women and children.
Terming the horrific attack, as one of the most barbaric acts of terror, Sayeed said the perpetrators are the worst enemies of humanity, who have absolutely no respect for human lives. ‘Time has come for the people in India and Pakistan to stand up against the elements resorting to such diabolic acts of madness’, Sayeed added. "We must now jointly give such elements a befitting reply," he asserted.
Urging the people of the country to maintain unity at this moment of grief and shock, PDP Patron said such ghastly acts are the desperate attempts by the vested interests to sabotage the ongoing peace process in the region. He has asked the leadership of India and Pakistan not to give in to the machinations of such anti-peace elements and instead strengthen their resolve to carry forward the peace process so that the believers of terror and violence stand completely isolated.
Sayeed has expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and has prayed for the eternal peace of the victims of this colossal tragedy
