| Vocational Training Centre for women inaugurated | | | Jammu, Feb 19 A Vocational Training Center for women was inaugurated by Commander Mountain Lion Artillery Brigade at Seri village at a simple and well attended function today.
Dedicating the Center to the women and girls of Seri, Ding, Siyal and neighbouring villages of the area, the Commander expressed his appreciation for the support extended by the villagers in the establishment of the same. The Center boasts of three modern knitting machines, six sewing machines and a qualified instructor provided by the Army. Once established, the Vocational Training Center will continue as a self sustaining establishment with much needed employment and financial independence of the womenfolk of the area, a Defence handout said.
