| PDD employee among two killed in different incidents | | | Srinagar | Feb19
Two persons including a PDD employee were killed in different incidents during the last 24 hours in Kashmir valley. Meanwhile, a person has attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance.
According to reports, a person namely Farooq Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool of Bewara fell down from an electric pole at Village Khush Roi Kalan while doing his job. He was immediately rushed to hospital; however, he succumbed on the way. The deceased was an employee of the electric department. Police has taken cognizance of the incident and proceeding u/s 174 CrPC has been initiated. In another incident, a carpenter identified as Raghber Singh, son of Rattan Singh of Charwan, Amritsar in Punjab, presently at Uri died under suspicious circumstances after returning from Gurudwara near Sang Bridge Uri. Police has initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC and the cause of death is being ascertained.
Meanwhile, a person namely Feroze Ahmed Malik son of Gul Mohammed of Badasgam, Anantnag attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance and has been referred to Srinagar for treatment.
