| Military hospital news letter released | | | Jammu, 20 February 2007
Major General Sanjeev Loomba, SM, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division released the inaugural issue of ‘News letter’ of 166 Military Hospital today at the conference hall of the Military Hospital.
Welcoming the chief guest and other senior serving and retired officers including Major General (Retd) ML Magotra, a senior pediatrician and Major General (Retd) GS Jamwal, president Ex-servicemen league of J&K, Brigadier Arvind Gupta, Commandant of the hospital said that this newsletter chronicles various improvements and unique innovations made during the last 15 months or so. These facilities are patient oriented and are likely to be useful to our clientele especially ex-servicemen and their families.
Major General Loomba complimented the hospital staff for doing such a wonderful job in a short time and said that certain innovations like “Life style diseases awareness centre”, “Caner detection cell for women”, “Joint Replacement cell” and Daily comprehensive Immunization centre” are not only unique and first of its kind in Armed Forces, they have proved to be extremely useful for the clientele especially ex-servicemen. Newly renovated state of art ICU, OT & 5 staff officers family ward came for special praise by him. He reiterated that welfare of the patients is his top priority and no effort will be spared to make this busy hospital as one of the best in the Armed Forces, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release. |
