JK offers variety of interest to nature lovers: Dilawar
Three-day Kashmir festival concludes at New Delhi

Tourism received focused attention at all levels to restore the position of Jammu and Kashmir as choicest tourist resort in the world, said Minister for Tourism, PHE and Horticulture Mr. Mohammad Dilawar Mir. He was speaking at concluding function of 3-day Kashmir festival at Press Club New Delhi today.
Mr. Mir spelt out salient features of government policy under implementation to upgrade tourist infrastructure in the tourist areas and opening chaste tourism attraction places.
He said attention is focussed on showcasing pilgrim tourism potential of the state. He said Jammu and Kashmir presents composite cultural and religions ethos and ancient religious places of the state are centre of attraction for devotees, historians and other.
He was speaking at concluding function of three day Kashmir festival a captivating and magnificent view of art, culture, tourism, handicrafts and horticulture at New Delhi Press Club.
Mr. Dilawar said that 19 Tourism Development authorities have already been established with necessary paraphernalia under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan. This important decision would boost development and growth of tourism in the state. He said three tourist circuits to link all tourist attraction palaces hither to left uncovered.
Mr. Mir said state’s handicrafts, handloom and horticulture are also world renowned spectators of Jammu and Kashmir. These are the sectors of economic importance and employment generation. Minister said that state’s economic future and welfare lies in the development of handicrafts, handlooms and horticulture alongwith tourism.
The stalls of horticulture, handicrafts and handicrafts department were centre of focus of the festival. One of the attractive and captivating part of the festival was photo exhibition of the international standard organized by the Department of Information including a presentation of Sofiana Cultural programme which enthralled the audience.
