| Deputations call on Power Minister | | | Jammu, February, 20
Deputations including J&K Electric Employees Union, Provisional Power Employees Union, ITI Diploma Holders, J&K Central Non-gazetted Electric Employees Union and ITI Beneficiaries Union Kashmir of Power Development Department and Power Development Corporation of J&K called on Minister for Power Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora yesterday evening.
They presented charter of demands which include extension of technical benefits to all categories of employees of PDD/PDC by providing technical grade, removal of disparity and anomalies by way of uniform implementation of SRO-149 of 1973 in favour of left over ITI employees and non ITI employees, uniform implementation of SRO-59 of 1990 regarding rationalizing of pay scales and designations of field staff of engineering departments, issuance of clarification with regard to last line of SRO-311 of 1997 incorporation counting of 50 % service of work charge and daily wagers as issued by PWD, creation of posts in executive and ministerial cadres, releasing of pending wages to all Daily wagers, casuals, seasonal and regularization of daily wagers engaged after 1994 up to date on seniority basis through DPC’s, issuance of clarification regarding releasing of two and half day salary and establishment of welfare fund on the pattern of Police Department.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured them that their genuine demands would be considered sympathetically. |
